The recent news says that if British Prime Minister
David Cameron could push for a ban on the
WhatsApp and Snapchat if he wins this year’s
general election. The move would be the result of
new surveillance plans proposed in the wake of the
terror attacks in Paris, France.
He made it clear that he wants to stop the use of
communications methods which cannot be read by
the security services even with a warrant. That
would include communications and social media
apps WhatsApp and Snapchat which encrypt their
data.
WhatsApp added end-to-end encryption to it’s
service in late-2014.
In practice, this is imposible to stop the use of
these messaging Apps. Even when the New
government could impose a ban and remove it from
Playstore or many other repositories.
The recent certain terrorist attack leads sign of
concern to many countries. Sydney, Peshavar,
Assam and now in Paris. Recently DoT
( Department Of Telecomm) in India also banned
32 website by stating that these repositories
includes anti nationalist content. Russia also
banned many anti nationalist web adderesses.
Now this arises a big question here that does
enhancement in communication technology
creating a flaw in national/worldwide security? And
the Final conclusion to prevent this is ban them.
